UCU Invitational Basketball tournament is set for thus weekend
The National Basketball League season is around the corner, and what better way to get the feel of the game than a short trip to Mukono over the weekend.
All is set for the 2020 UCU Invitational Basketball tournament slated for March 14-15 at UCU courts.
The two-day tourney is mainly used by the coaches and technical staff to among others get players into shape, try out new tactics and build team chemistry.

A total of 32 teams, 20 men and 12 women, have confirmed participation in the 10th edition, organisers have told The-SportsNation.
JKL Sports franchise are the defending champions in both (men and women) categories and will be the team to beat following their marquee signings in the transfer window.
The men’s side beat Betway Power 50-46 after the Lady Dolphins had edged UCU Lady Canons 47-42.
NBL seven-time champions have confirmed participation, and if they come, it will be their first appearance at UCU tourney since 2016 having missed the last three editions.

Before JKL Dolphins won the men’s category last year, Betway Power (2018) and UCU (2017) had won the previous two.
It is expected to be another two-way fight for JKL and UCU in the women category – The hosts had won the last two before JKL’s 2019 triumph.
