Magogo Promises $200 To Each Uganda U17 Player Ahead Of Tanzania

FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo has promised $200 to the Uganda national U17 women football team ahead of the second leg of the FIFA U17 Women World Cup Qualifiers.

Uganda lost 2-1 away to Tanzania in the first leg and will seek to complete a comeback at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday.

Magogo made the promise when he paid a courtesy visit to the team presently in camp at the FUFA Technical centre in Njeru on Monday, FUFA website has confirmed.

“I have watched you play and I must say I am very much impressed. You are one of the best teams in this category on the continent and that is why we have registered you in as many competitions because we believe in your abilities,” Magogo said as quoted by FUFA website.

“We really have a lot of hope in this team and losing out will be an opportunity lost. What you could be missing is just mental toughness and you will need just that on Saturday. They (Tanzania) may be a good side but I believe you are better.”

It should be remembered that Magogo promised $1000 to KCCA FC players each if they win the CECAFA kagame Cup, but are yet to get a single coin since.
