Uganda Cranes To Face Mali, Zambia In Pre CHAN Tourney

In preparation for the forthcoming 2020 CHAN tourney in Cameroon, Uganda will host a Three-Nation Tourney with Zambia and Mali national teams.

This is slated for 17th-21th of March at Namboole.

There will also be a testing match in the last week of March that will be against AFCON qualifier team which will also be in the Camp by that time (preparing for South Sudan games) and team is expected to be summoned next week.

The CHAN bound team is entering camp this Sunday and training kick start on Monday at Cambridge international school, Butabika.

For the particular days of Uganda premier league fixtures, players will be released back to their clubs.

The training is going to last for one month but in the last four days of March, Players will be given a recovery break to check on their families and friends and the team is expected to travel to Cameroon for the tournament on 2nd of April.

The CECAFA team has at least been retained to a high extent. Two players who went abroad (Allan Okello, Joel Madondo) have been ineligible. Two players Nicholas Kasozi, Ben Ocen have failed to make the cut.
