Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has released the 20120 NBL fixture for the first round.

The league will tip-off with two games on March 20 at YMCA court in Wandegeya. Last year’s beaten finalists UCU Lady Canons will face KIU Rangers while defending champions City Oilers will tussle it out with JKL Dolphins.

The first round will go until May 31.

The league will be played at three venues – YMCA in Wandegeya, KIU in Kansanga and Indoor Arena in Lugogo. Just like last season, no games will be played at UCU in Mukono per the fixture.

Nkumba Lady Marines have been included on the fixture despite ealier reports that indicated that the University side had disbanded.

The games will be played on four days – Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The two midweek games will be played at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) action will start at 11:30am and the last game start at 5:30pm.

City Oilers are the defending Men’s champions after beating UCU Canons 4-3 while JKL Lady Dolphins edged UCU Lady Canons in similar fashion.

Nam Blazers and UPDF Tomahawks are the new entrants in the Men’s division. The promoted teams in the Women division are Nabisunsa Girls and Magic Stormers.

Both Magic Stormers and UPDF Tomahawks bounce back after a season in the lower division.
