Hosts SC Villa will be seeking return to winning ways against Proline and close gap against runner away leaders Vipers and KCCA FC.

Villa occupy third place with 34 points, despite having a game in hand, they are 10 points adrift of second placed KCCA FC.

The side come into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Police FC where they were pegged back twice at Lugogo.

Coach Edward Kaziba will welcome back midfielder Amir Kakomo who missed the 2-2 draw against Police due to accumulated yellow cards.

The side is expected to maintain a four-man backline of Ibrahim Kibumba, Yayo Lutimba, Asuman Alishe and Moses Kiggundu while Ambrose Kirya and Bashir Mutanda carry the goalscoring burden.

Proline are rock bottom of the 16-team log with 15 points and are strong candidates to be relegated.

If this comes to pass, they will look back at Villa’s game in the first round as the major cause of every mess they encountered.

Proline FC

Proline failed to honour this fixture at Lugogo when they claimed that it fell inside the international window and also had their players summoned on the national team.

Consequently, FUFA deducted six points off the Uganda Cup winners.

They come into the Saturday clash with low morale after a home loss to Kyetume FC where Robert Ssentongo scored the only goal of the game.

Coach Baker Mbowa is expected to ring changes to the lineup that lost to Kyetume – With Noordin Bunjo, goalkeeper Hassan Matovu and Ibrahim Wammanah expected to start.

Hamis Kizza, Brian Umony, Hakim Kiwanuka and Bright Anukani are expected to give the Jogoos more trouble.

The last actual meeting between Villa and Proline ended goalless but the Jogoos had won the first round tie, battling from a goal down to win 2-1 at Masaka Recreation grounds in 2017.

Mukasa Musa scored in his own net but Mahad Yaya and Martin Kizza handed Villa maximum points. Then, Villa were under coach Wasswa Bbosa.
