KCCA FC eased past Kyetume FC to close gap at the top of the league table to just two points.
Sadat Anaku and Erisa Ssekisambu scored a goal each as the defending champions won 2-0 away in Jinja.
The victory leaves KCCA with 41 points in second place, two points below Vipers who were held by Mbarara City FC in Bombo.
Anaku slotted home to put the Visitors in the lead after receiving a long ball from Peter Magambo, the scorer was later taken off for Nicholas Kasozi.
Mike Mutebi’s charges doubled the advantage at the stroke of halftime when Ssekisambu beat Joel Mutakubwa thanks to an assist from Mustafa Kizza.
Mike Mutyaba had his shot kept out by Mutakubwa while his other chance at goal went over the bar as KCCA made their intentions known.
Mutakubwa also denied Herbert Achai in the closing stages to reduce the damage.
Kyetume had their moments and would have found the back of the net but the Slaughters failed to get past Charles Lukwago who produced a wonderful save to keep out Dennis Lubowa’s header.
