Mamba, as commonly known in the basketball circles, together with her daughter Gianna Bryant perished in an helicopter crash in Calabasa, California – news first reported by TMZ.
With the cause of the crash yet to be established, it has been confirmed that Baseball coach John Altobelli of Orange Coast College, his wife and daughter have been confirmed dead.
Kobe was 41 at the time of his death and regarded by many as one of the greatest ever lived.
In Lakers Jersey, he won five NBA championships, an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, and the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP).
