Ugandan international Juma Balinya will make his debut when Gor Mahia host Bandari on Saturday at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
The former Police FC attacking midfielder joined K’Ogalo after cancelling his tenure with Young Africans (Yanga SC) last year.
He has been cleared to play last week after all his paper work was finalised, according to the club website.
Balinya told the Gor Mahia website:
“I’m happy to be here and i want to do my best and help the team win every possible trophy on offer. I know the likes of Danny (Sserunkuma) grew into bigger players while at this club and i just want to work hard to emulate their achievements and even surpass.
“I feel very welcome at this club, the players, officials and fans who attend training sessions have all welcomed me well and it is my duty to repay such hospitality by giving my all when i get to the pitch.”
The hosts will be seeking for a double after winning the reverse fixture 2-0 courtesy of goals from Samuel Onyango and Francis Afriyie who have since left for Township Rollers of Botswana Tanzanian giants Yanga SC respectively.
Gor will also be boosted by the return of defender Wellington Ochieng whose last action was against DC Motema Pembe of DR Congo.
Gor are third on the log with 35 points below leaders Tusker (37) a d Homeboyz (36) while Bandari occupy 11th with 18 points.
However, Balinya’s Gor Mahia still have two matches in hand and will leapfrog both Tusker and Homeboys if they attain positive results.
