SC Villa coach Edward Kaziba has said that his club will not be taking Super Eagles FC for granted when the two teams meet in the Uganda Cup round of 64 on Thursday.

This comes after three top flight sides were eliminated by lower division clubs on Wednesday at this stage.

Vipers were knocked out by Kajjansi while Busoga and Onduparaka were ousted by Busia and Bugamba FC respectively.

“After those upsets, its a really big opener that anything can happen,” Kaziba told The-SportsNation in an exclusive interview.

“And because of that, we are not taking any chances. We are going all out to see that we come back with victory.

“Our aim is to see ourselves play that last match and that is the final – We want to win this cup.”

Villa has won the Uganda Cup, previously known as the Kakungulu Cup nine times, only KCCA and Express who have 10 titles, have won more.

However, they last won the Uganda Cup in the 2014/15 season. Then, Villa beat KCCA 3-0 in a rescheduled final at Namboole after the initial game in Ntugamo was aborted because of violence.

Emmanuel Kalyowa is the only major concern for Kaziba who has said that everyone is okay to play on Thursday.

The club will seek to draw motivation from their stunning 1-0 win against rivals and table leaders Vipers SC in the league at Kitende.

The Jogoos are third in the league with 30 points after 18 games and will bank on pedigree to storm the Round of 32 in what promises to be a well attended game at Pece Stadium in Gulu district.
