KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Okello has joined Paradou FC, its official.
The reigning FUFA male player of the year has joined the Algerian club on a four-year contract.
He is arguably the most loved and famous local player prior in Uganda.
He joins a long list of Uganda players that have made deals abroad in the recent past, including Joel Madondo who recently signed with Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca.
Okello is a creative midfielder who operates behind the strikers and can also dash from the wings. He has a strong left foot and and an eye for that pin point pass to a forward.
He came to the scene when he bagged an hat-trick against Onduparaka on his debut on February 27, 2017 aged just 16 years.
According to the KCCA FC website, Okello has scored 39 goals in 112 appearances for the club. He is the leading scorer for KCCA with six goals in the 2019/20 league with six goals.
KCCA FC has claimed that Okello’s contract with AC Paradou has a sell-on clause whereby in case of a potential future transfer of the player to another club, KCCA FC will retain 20% of the transfer fee.
