Villa Vs Busoga: Coach Bogere Predicts ‘Tough’ Duel

Busoga United coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko has predicted a tough game when his side face SC Villa at Namboole on match-day 17 of the StarTimes UPL.

Busoga will be hoping to extend their perfect start in the second round after beating another traditional giant Express FC at the Mighty Arena in Jinja on Friday.

Bogere, speaking ahead of the Villa game, commented that he will have Lawrence Tezikya and Douglas Muganga back after missing the Express win due to license issues.

Nelson Mandela also returns to the squad. He missed the Express game due to lack of match fitness.

“We managed to beat Express FC in a game played under too much rain, the boys are in good shape and we had some challenges of licenses but its all well,” said coach Bogere.

“Villa is one of the biggest teams in the league, they had a good start this season and are still competing for the trophy.

“It’s going to be a difficult affair but we shall squeeze through to get the needed three points from them.”

SC Villa Seek To Bounce Back

Villa ended the first round with a 4-1 loss to KCCA and started the second round with a 2-0 loss to URA FC.

Against URA FC, the record winners missed a couple of players due to licenses issues – Derrick Ndahiro, Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Amir Kakomo, Moses Kiggundu, Benson Muhindo and Nicholas Kabonge all never played.

Villa are fourth on the log with 27 points, 12 behind leaders Vipers and six above Busoga United in sixth.

In the reverse fixture, Villa needed an Emmanuel Wasswa equaliser after Boban Zirintusa had put Busoga in the lead to draw 1-1.
