Supersport United: Moses Waiswa Unveiled, Makes Match-day Squad

Uganda Cranes creative midfielder Moses Waiswa was finally unveiled at his new club Supersport United FC in South Africa.

Joining from Vipers, the Kitende-based club had confirmed the deal last year in July.

However, the Waiswa has been injured and his return was rewarded with a spot on the match-day squad on Sunday shortly after he was unveiled.

Supersport confirmed that Waiswa has signed a deal that will keep him at the club until 2022.

He was unused substitute as Supersport beat Amazulu 2-0 on the road at Kings Park thanks to goals from Evans Rusike and Bradley Grobler.

The Tshwane giants had Kudakwashe Mahachi’s goal in the 14th minute ruled out for offside when the game was still all square.

Then in the 22nd minute, Rusike fired into the net after collecting from Clayton Daniels.

Grobler doubled the advantage at the half-hour mark after receiving from Mahachi.

The win leaves SuperSport third with 26 points and Waiswa will hope to help his side win the league for the fourth time in the club’s history.

They won the league in 2007/8, 2008/9 and 2009/10. They have five Nedbank cups, Telkom Knockout once and three-time MTN 8 champions.
