CAF Confederation: End Of The Road For KCCA

KCCA FC crashed out of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup after a 4-1 humiliating loss to Algeria’s Paradou AC on Sunday at the Stade 5 Juillet in Algiers.

KCCA had dug themselves a big hole when they failed to capitalise from their home advantage to draw 0-0 in the first leg.

The side needed to avoid defeat in the return leg to have a chance and they were on course when Allan Okello leveled matters in the 23rd minute after Herari Salahedine put the hosts in an early lead.

Yousir Bouzok scored the penalty as Paradou regained command to send the game 2-1 at the long break.

Goals from Kadri Abdelkahar and Women Bougherra put the game beyond KCCA’s reach and so do Mike Mutebi’s chances for another group stage milestone.

Uganda will have no representative at this season’s CAF engagements as Proline had also crashed out in the hands of Libya’s Al-Nasr.
