CAF Confederation: Paradou Touch Base Ahead Of KCCA Tie

KCCA FC’s opponents Paradou FC have arrived in Uganda ahead of their CAF Confederation cup meeting on Sunday at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala.

The Algerians have come in bunches – the first group of 19 people arrived at Entebbe International airport on Friday morning at 7AM while the second bunch is expected to check in on Saturday at 3AM.

The contingent, led by delegation head Bounefof Mourad, entails of 34 people – 20 players and 14 official’s – and are housed at Lake Victoria Hotel, Entebbe.

Mourad, speaking with KCCA FC head of public relations Moses Magero expressed the team’s readiness for the Sunday game.

The two sides meet for the first leg on Sunday before a return leg on November 3 in Algeria.

The winner over two legs will qualify for the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Thulani Sibandze will be the referee and shall be assisted by Sifiso Nxumalo and Petros Mzikayifani Mbingo as the first and second assistant referees.

Thembinkosi Njabulo Dlamini will be the fourth official while South Sudan’s Begi Rasas Sebit Librato Librato will be the Match Commissioner.

To reach this stage, Paradou eliminated Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien while Mike Mutebi’s KCCA hurtled from the CAF Champions league.
