Uganda’s duo Halima Nakaayi and Winnie Nanyondo won gold each at the Denka Athletics Challenge on Saturday in Japan.
Nakaayi, coming on track on the back of winning gold in the World athletics championship in Doha, managed to live as advertised.

She came fastest in 800M in a time of 2.04.73, beating Ayano Shiomi in second.
Nanyondo on the other hand, won gold in the 1500M after clocking 4.08.97 ahead of Kenya’s Helen Ekarare and Japan’s Nozomi Tanaka.

The Denka Challenge series, will be competed for in 14 other cities.
