Wakiso Giants FC have moved their league game against Mbarara City from Wakissha’s Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium to Betway Muteesa II stadium, it has been confirmed.
The Purple Sharks will play host to th Ankole Lions on match day seven.
Wakiso had put in its official request to UPL secretariat about the change of the venue for their Saturday game having learnt that Wakissha was earlier booked for other other activities by the owner.
The UPL secretariat has approved Wakiso’s request on Thursday, according to the letter signed by CEO Bainamani Bernard Bampaire seen by this website.
The letter in part reads;
“The Secretariat has received a letter from Wakiso Giants FC requesting to chance the venue for M#51 Wakiso Giants vs Mbarara city From kabaka kyabaggu sports Stadium Wakiso to Betway Muteesa Il Stadium Wankulukuku because the stadium was earlier booked for another activity by the Owners,”
The kickoff time and date remain unchanged.
Its should be noted that Wakiso Giants, eighth on the log with seven points, has been able to win two games (URA and Tooro) out of the three they have played at Wakissha this season. They lost to BUL FC.
