Uganda U-17 women national team coach Ayub Khalifah says there is much work still needed to be done ahead of the U-17 COSAFA tournament to take place in Mauritius.
Khalifah was speaking after his side beat Fufa Women Elite League select team 3-1 at the Fufa technical center in Njeru in a practice match.

A brace from Juliet Nalukenge brace and Stella Musibika’s strike ensured the victory in their second practice match. They also beat Kampala select in the first game.
“We have picked a sweet win but there are lots of observation on where to improve,” Khalifa noted.
“Our defending is really not working as anticipated, goals are not coming from a good source of creation while chances created are not converted.”
Uganda will play against Zambia on Friday 20th in the group stages before tussling with hosts Mauritius and Seychelles on September 22 and of October 4th respectively.
