Proline FC conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with AS Kigali in the CAF Confederation cup qualifiers first leg played at Kigali Stadium.

Bright Anukani gave Proline FC a lead three minutes after the start of the second half, beating goalkeeper Shamiru Bate.

Farouk Ssentongo scored from the penalty spot after referee judged Saka Mpiima to have handled the ball in the forbidden area in the 86th minute.

Proline’s best chance saw Bate parried away Bernard Muwanga’s header off Anukani’s delivery earlier in the first half.

The teams are set to face off in the return leg in Kampala on September 27.

Proline will need at least a goalless draw to reach the next stage.
