KCCA FC will face Angola’s Petro Atletico de Luanda in the CAF Champions League first round.
The winner of the tie on aggregate will book a ticket to the lucrative group stages of the elite primary club competition on the Continent. The loser at this stage drops to CAF Confederation cup qualifiers.
Petro Atletico managed to ease past Lesotho’s Matlama – The Angola team won 1-0 at home after they had picked a 2-0 win in the first leg.
KCCA FC beat Namibia’s African Stars to reach this stage with a 4-3 aggregate victory. Goals from Mustafa Kiiza and Allan Okello gave the Kampala team a 2-0 second leg win.
KCCA FC will begin their first round campaign on the road on September 13-15 before hosting the return leg in Kampala on September 27-29.
