Friendly: Sserunkuma Hits Brace As Vipers Thrash Maroons

Dan ‘Mzee’ Sserunkuma bagged a brace as Vipers beat Maroons in a friendly played on Wednesday at St.Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

Abram Ndugwa scored the other in a 3-1 victory. It should be noted that Vipers will face Maroons on November 9th in the league on at Luzira Prisons ground.

This is the second friendly for Vipers in a space of about five days.

Coach Edward Golola’s team also beat Gulu Super Eagles 3-0 at Pece Stadium with Henry Kitegenyi, Brian Kalumba and Tito Okello on target.

The Venoms have now completed their friendly matches business, and will now return to action against KCCA FC in a much anticipated Pilsner Super Eight final in Sunday.

Newly recruited right back Paul Willa

It should be noted that Sserunkuma recently renewed his contract with the Venoms in a deal that will keep the former Express FC striker at Kitende until 2021.

He was the club’s top scorer last season in the league with 12 goals. He had 11 in the league winning season.
