Wakiso Giants Downplay Feni – Kisala Row Claims

Wakiso Giants have refuted claims of a rumored spat between coach Kefa Kisala and player Feni Ali.

The-SportsNation.com sources have it that Feni is unhappy at the club since Kisala’s arrival.

Our sources have it that Feni vowed to never play under coach Kisala after disagreements the two had while still at URA FC.

It should be noted that Kisala was coach at URA FC before he was sacked in 2017, in a reign where the coach also had a row with striker Robert Ssentongo whom he branded as being a bad influence to the team then.

Feni has not returned to training for the upcoming season and above all, he saw his armband stripped off and given to outstanding goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi.

“Feni is still our player,” noted Wakiso Giants’ head of Corporate Affairs Ismael Kiyonga who was speaking exclusively to this website via a phone call.

“He excused himself for a short while to sort personal issues, something which we respected. We expect him back soon.”

The former URA FC and SC Villa player was central last season as the Purple Sharks clinched top flight status under coach Ibrahim Kirya who has moved on to join SC Villa.

The club, in the ongoing transfer window, have added Hassan Ssenyonjo, Ivan Ssebuguzi, Muwadda Mawejje and Viane Ssekajugo among others.

Wakiso will seek for a positive start in their first season in top flight when they visit reigning champions KCCA FC at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo
