Uganda Cranes star player Farouk Miya has joined Turkish club Konyaspor.
The side plays in Turkey’s too flight division – Turkey Super Liga.
Miya has joined the team on a three-year deal. He played for Croatian team HNK Gorica last season where he scored five goals from 30 games.
He was unveiled on Tuesday by club coach Seckin Ozdil at Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium.
Miya, who left Uganda after playing for Vipers in the CECAFA 2016, has played for Standard Liege in Belgium, Royal Mouscron, Sabail FC among others.
He Joins a long list of Uganda Cranes players who have found a new team since the end of the 2019 AFCON.
The little wizard is expected to help Konyaspor in the Turkish league that started recently. The team will travel to play giants Galatasaray on Sunday.
They finished eighth last season with 44 points, three below a Europa league spot.
