Mbarara City FC will continue to be without new signings Gaddafi Gadinho and Bashir Muweesi as the side face Onduparaka FC in the Pilsner Super Eight placement game.
Other notable omissions from the team, if we are to go with the 18 man squad that travelled to Kampala, sees striker Siraje Musindo, defenders Stephen Othieno and Junior Ainamaani miss out.
The Ankole lions will however welcome back towering forward Jude Ssemugabi from a layoff.
Ssemugabi will carry the scoring burden off forwards Wol Makueth and Brian Ahebwa, not to mention Paul Mucureezi. The striker was the team’s top scorer last season with 7 goals.
Goalkeeper Tom Ikara who is loan from KCCA FC and midfielder Solomon Okwalinga, are the other new signings to make the trip.
Okwalinga, if he plays, will be facing former pay masters.
This will be a Pilsner super eight battle for third place. Mbarara beat URA FC in Kakyeka but lost to Vipers in shootouts at quarters and semis stage respectively.

Onduparaka’s 2-1 win over Mbarara City on 20th Feb 2019 was the first time the Caterpillars ever managed to score against Mbarara City and it was the first time they recorded maximum points against the Ankole Lions.
