Uganda’s under 15 team managed to beat Tanzania 2-0 at the ongoing CECAFA U15 tournament at Asmara International stadium in Eritrea.

Mutyaba Travis hit a double to lift Uganda past resolute neighbours who had frustrated Uganda until the 27th minute when the youngster opened the account.

Mutyaba scored his first from a free-kick from the box edge. He later doubled the advantage in a good buildup that involved a quick one-two with teammate Abasi Kyeyune.

Coach Jackson Magera’s team has now won two from as many. The side beat Ethiopia 3-0 in the opening group B game.

Uganda will return to action against South Sudan on Friday before facing Rwanda on Sunday.

The two teams, in a five-team two group tourney, will reach the semi finals.
