NBL: Nigeria’s Azolibe Stars As City Oilers Thrash Sharing Youth

City Oilers beat Sharing Youth 91-39 in the Tusker Lite sponsored league game played at YMCA court in Wandegeya, Kampala.

Nigeria’s Francis Chisioke Azolibe led the demolition with 26 points and five rebounds for the Six time NBL champions.

The power forward who also can play as a centre, featured for 30 minutes and shot 11 of 14 from the field in the winning effort.

However, Azolibe who has averaged 8.8 points and 8.1 rebounds this season, made only 4 of 14 free-throws.

Landry Ndikumana and point guard Jimmy Enabu added 18 and 16 points respectively. Tonny Drilleba (10), Ivan Muhwezi (9) and Daniel Jjuko (6) also put up commendable performances. Josh Johnson added 7 assists .

Caesar Kizito scored 16 points and Emmanuel Okumu had 10 in a losing effort for Sharing Youth.

The victory is the 17th for City Oilers who are destined to finish second behind UCU Canons who have to beat Kambala University to confirm themselves as number one seed for the post season.

Oilers who have played 20 games, will face KCCA Men and JKL Dolphins on August 25 and 28 respectively.
