KCCA FC: Mutebi Confirms Kaddu Departure, Names Heir

KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi has confirmed that his striker Patrick Kaddu is on his way out of the club.

This website hinted on the news of Kaddu’s exit on Thursday. The Uganda Cranes striker is expected to sign for a club in Morocco.

When asked about the ongoing rumours, KCCA FC coach Mike Mutebi was flank.

“It’s true, Kaddu is going, but we expected that. It’s not an accident, its something we had planned for,” Mutebi told journalists.

However, the coach refused to reveal the player’s next destination.

“We have trained Sadat Anaku to fill the boots. He will be able to take up the responsibility very well. Plus, I will be playing with three forwards and I have very interesting kids and goal scoring forwards.”

KCCA FC managed to beat Onduparaka FC 3-1 to set up a Pilsner Super eight final with rivals Vipers.

Musa Ramathan set the tone before Allan Okello ran the show with a brace to seal a dominant display at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Reflecting on his team’s performance and the result in general, Mutebi commented:

“It was important for us to win this game, Onduparaka gave us a good test which we wanted ahead of our CAF Champions league qualification with African Stars.”

On facing Vipers in the finals, Mutebi noted that it will be an interesting tie that will bring together the two best teams in the country, and a big curtain raising game for the league.

The tactician also defended his decision to name Okello as a match day captain, as the youngster has played more games and received enough exposure.
