KCCA FC coach Mike Hilary Mutebi has hinted on handing debut to his new signings John Revita and Simon Sserunkuma when his side face Onduparaka FC in the FUFA Pilsner Super Eight semis.

The two league outfits face off at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo this Friday with the winner to face Vipers in the finals. The Venoms beat Mbarara City in a semi played earlier.

Revita who joined KCCA FC as a free agent after his contract at Express FC expired, is expected to start in the heart of defence for the Lugogo based side.

Just like Sserunkuma, the two new signings missed the club’s two recent games where KCCA FC played Wakiso Giants (2-0) and African Stars (2-3).

Mutebi, whose word should be taken with a grain of salt, told journalists that his side will not be with Saddam Juma, Gift Ali and Herbert Achai who are nursing injuries.

Erisa Ssekisambu who played against Wakiso but missed the trip to Namibia, is also expected to feature in which will be his first home game for KCCA.

Mutebi Confident

Coach Mutebi praised Onduparaka FC new coach Livingston Mbabazi but noted that KCCA FC have enough and are very confident that they will beat Onduparaka on Friday.

He also added that he will use the game as a precursor for their CAF Champions league qualifier return leg against African Stars and to also test his players for the load ahead.

“We have good history against Onduparaka. They have a new good coach but we must win because if we lose, it might be a disaster,” said Mutebi who was speaking at Kati Kati hotel in Lugogo.

“We made school boy errors against African Stars, but we were actually the better team. We failed to take away our chances but the opponents were also a stronger team. So we expect to come back better.

“We are KCCA FC and teams should be scared of facing us. We are better than Onduparaka and that is not a secret, we want our boys to be confident tomorrow and am sure they are well prepared and ready.”

This will be a repeat of last year’s final where Allan Okello and Ibrahim Saddam Juma scored for KCCA FC to beat Onduparaka 2-0 in the final played at Wankulukuku.
