NBL: Betway Power Ends Regular Season On High

Betway Power beat Sharing Youth to end their regular season on a positive note.

Power dispatched Sharing 90-51 in a Tusker Lite Sponsored NBL game played at the Indoor Arena in Lugogo, Kampala.

Power eased into the first half with a 44-21 lead before extending their dominance in the next two quarter 22-16 and 24-14 in that order.

Sharing Youth’s only form of resistance came through Caesar Kizito (14 points), David Donat Habiyambere (18 points) and Sam Gombya (14 rebounds) but couldn’t stage a formidable fight.

Paul ‘McGyver’ Odong led the way with a game high 26 points, Syrus Kiviiri and Brian Sivachi also managed 11 points each in a winning effort. Joseph Ikong shot 3-7 for his nine points while Suleiman Bbaale had 7 assists.

Samuel Agutu, Guddi Nasser, Isaac Afidra and Amini Mkosa all came from the bench to reach seven points for a team that missed Fahmy Ssebatindira and David Opolot.

This was Power’s last game of the regular season. They have won 15 games and lost seven. This was their fourth straight win since falling 74-84 to City Oilers on July 31.

City Oilers (2), JKL (2), Warriors (2) and UCU Canons have all beaten Power this season who are likely to finish fifth on the table.
