KCCA FC coach Mike Hilary Mutebi believes that his players were careless in their loss to African Stars in Namibia.
KCCA FC, however, managed to pick two away goals in the 3-2 loss in a game played at the San Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek.
KCCA FC took a shock lead when Ivan Kamberipa looped the ball into his own net, Patrick Kaddu scored the other goal for the visitors.

“We conceded silly goals because of carelessness, not that the opposition were better than us,” coach Mutebi said after the loss on Saturday.
“We could have had like three goals in the first half so we must put away chances if we are to go through. The return game we shall not be as careless as we were because we misses so many chances.”
KCCA FC will look to at least win 1-0 in the return leg to qualify to the first round where they will face winner between Matlama and Luanda.

“They (African Stars) played well, they were at home. I believe that we shall change when we come to Kampala and there is a lot of hope.
“It was a good game for the fans as both teams were attacking. It was an end to end affair which is good for football. They gave us a hard challenge which we failed to answer as we would have liked.
“They have a lot of belief, and I expect them to come and play, it is us to correct our mistakes to see that we go through.”
Peter Magambo handled the ball in the area for the visitors to level matters Ambrosius Amseb in the 40th minute. Kaddu equalised in the 82nd minute when Yossouf Ibrahim had given the hosts in the 75th minute. Yossouf grabbed the winner in the 85th minute.
