*South Africa 89-05 Uganda
*Madagascar 05-35 Kenya
Uganda’s Lady Rugby Cranes suffered a humiliating 89-05 loss to South Africa in the 2019 Rugby Africa Women’s Cup.
The games – played at the Bosman Stadium in Johannesburg – double as 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
The Lady Rugby Cranes were outclassed, out muscled and pummeled to say the least in what turned out to be a one sided avenue.
Rights Makari and Eloise Webb made three tries each, Zintle Mpupha, Shozi Snenhlanhla and Sinazo Mcatshulwa had a brace each while Yonela Ngxingolo and Ayanda Malinga also grabbed a try each.
Samiya Ayikoru grounded for Uganda in their only highlight for the game.
Next for Uganda is Kenya and Madagascar on August 13 and 17 in that order.
It should be noted that the winner of the tourney qualifies direct to the World Cup while the second will play a match against a team from South America.
