*African Stars Vs KCCA FC
Uganda’s CAF Champions league representatives will go all out for a first leg advantage when they face Namibia’s African Stars at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, Windhoek.
Mike Mutebi’s team, a blendy of young and old, will hope for a positive result before the second leg on August 23rd in Kampala.
It’s yet to be known if jet lag will do it’s part on the Garbage collectors who had flight delays and arrived late than planned.
The team had its flight SW 708 from Cape town to Windhoek cancelled due to technical reasons, and had to book the next flight SW714 from Cape to Windhoek later.
“We are in good shape and ready to play despite all the delays,” KCCA FC captain and goalkeeper Charles Lukwago said on Friday night.
“We are here to play football and make sure we pick up a positive result away. We are focused and we will not let the hiccups encountered get us distracted. We have our eyes set on the prize.”
If KCCA FC manages to negotiate past African Stars, they will face winner between Matlama and Petro de Luanda for a ticket to the lucrative champions league group stages.
