*Vipers Vs Mbarara City – 4PM
(St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende)
Vipers Sports Club will face a big hurdle when they take on Mbarara City in the Pilsner Super Eight semi final at Kitende.
The Venoms will be under pressure to perform in front of their home crowd while the Ankole Lions will be hoping for the best outcome.
Coach Edward Golola will be tasked to field a strong team to avoid an upset as the league nears.
However, he will be without Rashid Toha and Ashraf Mugume who have been ruled out as it was confirmed by the club website.

Here is Vipers expected starting XI
Goalkeeping
Fabien Mutombora is expected to beat Derrick Ochan for a starting place in the posts. Mutombora though he wasn’t troubled much, proved vital as Vipers beat Proline at Lugogo.
Defence
Paul Willa will start at right back ahead of Innocent Wafula who started at Lugogo.
Aziz Kayondo will occupy the other fullback position and his explosive moves going forward will be vital as Vipers plan to build from the back.
Bashir Asiku and Captain Halid Lwaliwa will sit in the centre back in a four man defence.

Midfield
Siaraje Ssentamu who limped off against Proline has been fit and expected to reprise his role in the holding midfield. However, he may be given few minutes before he paves way for Tom Masiko.

Frank Zaga Tumwesigye scored against Busiro in a friendly at Kitende in midweek but may will continue to face a big task to convince the selectors for a starting place. Am tempted, am going the highly rated Karim Watambala.
Brian Nkuubi is the other midfielder to complete a three man midfield.
Forwards.
Allan Kayiwa will be given his debut and the fast forward will be eager to make a positive start since joining from Tooro United.

Coach Golola hinted that Shaban Mohammed may not play a part give that he hasn’t trained with the team. Hope Golola has the full rights to select the team, and I will leave that there.
So, if we are to go with the Coach’s idea, Dan Mzee Sserunkuma will lead the attack, closely followed by Kayiwa and Denis Mwemezi – The latter scored against Proline.

The team in brief (4-3-3)
Fabien Mutombora; Paul Willa, Aziz Kayondo, Bashir Asiku, Halid Lwaliwa; Siraje Ssentamu, Brian Nkuubi, Karim Watambala; Allan Kayiwa, Dan Mzee Sserunkuma, Denis Mwemezi.
