Jamila ‘Zama’ Nansikombi is confident that her side will overcome KCCA Leopards on Friday in the National Basketball League.
The teams meet with about about three games remaining to the end of the regular season.
This is a clash of first and second – JKL lead the log with 15 wins and one loss. KCCA coke second with 13 wins and two losses.

“Friday’s tie is very important as it will greatly determine where we will finish on the table,” Zama told the-SportsNation.com.
It should be remembered that Zama posted 20 points as JKL beat KCCA 70-49 in the first round in the league opener on April 12.

When asked whether that first round edge gives them confidence coming into Friday’s game, Zama responded:
“With or without beating KCCA then, confidence is supposed to be always part of basketball. So yes we are confident enough to fight for our position and the better team shall definetly win.
“We as a team have to be determined, focused and confident enough to win this game, we got to play with and for each other and also at our best.”
JKL’s only loss came against A1 Challenge (48-49) on July 17 at YMCA.
The Lady Dolphins will, beside Zama, depend on other stars like Rita Imanishimwe, Flavia Oketcho, Hope Akello and Peace Nakirijja among others for a needed win.

The Leopards on the other hand, will hope the best from Cynthia Irakunda, Martha Soigi, Joy Chemutai, Sylvia Nakazibwe and three point shooter Judith ‘Ayo’ Nansobya.
It should be noted that only Brenda Ekone has scored more points than Nansobya. However, JKL duo Akello and Zama follow in third and fourth on the list of most point scores.
