Uganda’s Under 15 national football team is set to take part in the inaugural CECAFA U15 Football tournament.
The maiden edition will kickoff in Asmara, Eritrea in August 16th to September 1st.
Uganda has been pitted in group B alongside Rwanda, Ethiopia and South Sudan.
The team setup for the Junior Cranes will feature boys from Odilo Championship, Ball games II among others, a source has hinted.
More details about the coaches that will take charge of the team are yet to be revealed by FUFA.
The championship launched by CECAFA on May 28, 2019 will be sponsored bu FIFA Forward programme initiative.
The tournament is to help the region prepare for the Under 17 AFCON qualifiers that start early next year.
This maiden CECAFA U15 tourney has 11 teams, with group C having only three countries. The top three from group A and B will join the top two in group C to play quarters.
Groups:
Group A – Eritrea, Kenya, Burundi, Somalia
Group B – Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, South Sudan
Group C – Tanzania, Sudan, Djibouti.

August 17 – Uganda vs Ethiopia
August 20 – South Sudan Vs Uganda
August 25 – Uganda Vs Rwanda
