Proline FC head coach Shafik Bisaso says that their game against Vipers FC in Pilsner Super 8 tournament was just a trial game ahead of their CAF confederation encounter.

Proline FC lost 1-0 to Vipers at Lugogo to bow out of the Pilsner Super Eight tourney. Denis Mwemezi scored the only game of a less eventful game.

Proline FC are in preparations for their debut continental engagement where they will face Malawi’s Masters Security Services in just a week from now.

“As we had said at first, we used this as a trial game,” Bisaso told journalists after the loss.

“We have been trying out on somethings which we thought that will work for us. We have learnt something big and we hope that this is a very good iniative to a team like ours which is going on the continent.”

Bisaso also noted that Vipers had given him a very good test as he played without two key players – Mustafa Mujuzi and Bright Anukani – who are with the National team.

“Our biggest problem is scoring goals because I think we defended well though we conceded a goal we could have easily avoided on another day,” he added.
