Proline FC 0-1Vipers SC
Vipers beat Proline 1-0 in the first fame of the 2019 FUFA Pilsner Super eight in a closely contested affair played at the StarTimes stadium in Lugogo.
Dennis Mwemezi’s first half goal was the difference to see the venoms advance to the semi-finals.
The victory can be seen as revenge for Vipers who were knocked out by Proline FC in last season’s Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The visitors meant business from the start, as they tried to get the best out of Proline’s shot stopper Hassan Matovu.
Vipers’ Abram Ndugwa missed a one on one with Matovu, with his shot going far wide in the 19th minute.
Mwemezi connected a high ball from Aziz Kayondo, with keeper Matovu fluffing at his near post for the Venoms to take a 24th minute lead.
The hosts tried to fight back, but failed to convert chances – The team’s best chance fell to Striker Ivan bogere but fired blanks with Fabien Mutombora to beat.
Vipers becomes the first team to advance for the semi-finals in the second edition of the tournament.
