Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has fined and banned three players following ugly incidents that occurred in Power – Warriors clash recently.
The three players at the receiving end include Warriors’ Saidi ‘Carmelo’ Amisi and Betway Power duo Phillip Ameny and Geoffrey Soro.

“The Technical and Competitions Council (TC & CC) in its meeting last evening was brought to the attention of a scenario in a game last Friday 26th July 2019 between Betway Power and Warriors at the YMCA court…” reads one of the documents seen by this website, from the Federation.
Power’s Soro has been handed a 25 game suspension and a $200 fine, with the ban effective on July 30.
Ameny and Carmelo will both pay $150 and serve a ten game suspension!
Also, Warriors’ Buzangu, despite being the one fouled, has also been warned after the committee found out that he was also involved in other ‘illicit aggression’.

In the said game, Warriors won 67-61, the main fracas was between Soro and Carmelo. Soro, towards the end of second quarter, knocked down Buzangu in attempted screen which fueled Carmelo to attack the Power’s forward.
