*Somalia Vs Uganda – 6PM
Uganda Cranes youngster Allan Okello has called upon his teammates to work hard and play as a team ahead of their CHAN qualifier against Somalia.
The Uganda Cranes are already in Djibouti where they will play Somalia in the first leg this Saturday before a return leg on August 3rd in Kampala.
Speaking after the team’s training session on Thursday, the KCCA FC attacking midfielder stated:
“We need to do all our best and work so hard, concentrate, be efficient enough and we need to win our games so that we qualify for Chan tourney.”

Okello is one of the players who is expected to play a major role going forward, as Uganda will seek to get at least an away goal to capitalise on before the return leg.
The youngster’s ability to find spaces in opponent’s defences will be key for the Cranes who have suffered to score goals when needed.
In the team’s three practice matches, Uganda managed to score only one goal that came against a 1-0 win over URA FC courtesy of Allan Kayiwa.
Abdallah Mubiru’s troops lost 1-0 to Kitara region select and played to a goalless draw against Proline FC in the other two friendlies.

“Its a great honour to be hear, I thank God for the journey mercies,” Okello said in regards to the team’s safe arrival in Djibouti.
The KCCA Midfielder was an integral figure as his club won CECAFA tourney in Rwanda but says that he has already switched guns to Somalia.
“It was a great tourney in CECAFA and we managed to win it, it was a great experience, but that is job well done and now our focus is on helping Uganda reach CHAN.”
Winner between Uganda on aggregate will face either South Sudan or Burundi for a ticket to CHAN final tourney.
