Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza is a free agent after his short contract with Vipers SC expired.
The veteran striker is a hot cake in the ongoing transfer window with about three Uganda Premier League clubs front runners for his signature ahead of the new season.
New league entrants Wakiso Giants where the first to team to table their offer but both parties failed to reach an agreement, with Diego reportedly demanding for more sign-on fee.
His former bosses at Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club, who have so far signed 11 players, also showed interest to lure his signature but the deal failed to reach to fruition.
However, highly placed The-SportsNation.com sources have learnt that player is set to join Proline FC and the striker is set to opt for his former bosses ‘Nalubaale FC’.
Diego is expected to be lured by the fact that Proline FC will be playing in the CAF Confederation cup where he can showcase his scoring ability as he humbly wait for a big and better offer outside the local league.
Kiiza has recently played for URA FC, Simba FC, Yanga FC of Tanzania, Ethiopia’s Fasil kanema among others.
