KCCA FC captain Charles Lukwago says that he is happy that his side managed to reach the semis of the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup championship.
The reigning UPL champions beat Rayon Sports FC 2-1 at Kigali stadium, Nyamirambo on Tuesday.
“Am happy on behalf of the team that we have qualified to the semi finals of the tournament,” Lukwago told the media shortly after the game.
“We are happy to win more games. It makes us better, we hope we can do some wondes here.”
Goals from Mustafa Kizza and Jackson Nunda were enough to give KCCA a slot in the semis.

The skipper commended the technical team and promised to continue working together to rectify some mistakes done so that his side cab reach the finals.
KCCA FC last won the tournament way back in 1978 hosted in kampala to write down history as the first Ugandan side to win the tournament.
However, they came closer to winning again in 2015 in Tanzania but ended up third – They beat Al Khartoum of Sudan 2-1 for third place spot.
