The second edition of the Pilsner Super Eight has been revealed, however, official dates will be communicated in the due course.
The start dates have been put on July 24th with the final scheduled on August 24, per the earlier communication.
KCCA FC are the reigning champions after beating Onduparaka FC during last year’s inaugural edition.
First half goals, each from Saddam Juma and Allan Okello, gave KCCA FC a deserved triumph at Wankulukuku Stadium.
Mike Mutebi’s charges, currently in Rwanda for the ongoing 2019 CECAFA Kagame cup, will start their title defence against newly promoted Wakiso Giants FC.
The Purple sharks will have a real test of stiff competition and test what is to come in the coming 2019-20 league season.
Vipers will seek revenge against Proline FC who knocked them out of last season’s Uganda Cup. URA FC and Mbarara is the other interesting tie while Onduparaka will begin life without Captain Rashid Toha when they face Tooro.
The FUFA Pilsner Super Eight tournament was started by FUFA competitions department to help clubs test players during the off season.
The best six teams in the 2018-19 StarTimes Uganda Premier League plus the best 2 sides from the FUFA Big league of last season are the teams to participate in the tournament.
Last season, KCCA walked away with Sh10M while Onduparaka FC got Sh5M. Vipers didn’t honour last year’s tourney due to other commitments.
