KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago has revealed that his side is under no any pressure as the club heads to Rwanda for CECAFA Kagame Cup.
Lukwago, who was speaking after KCCA’s 5-1 win over Proline FC in a pre-Cecafa match, noted that his team is just going to play their style which will help them to compete.
“It’s the first tournament for me and most of players on the team.”
“But the team has been participating in this competition, it puts us under no pressure and we are just going to play our football and compete.”
Lukwago noted that the friendly win against Proline was a good test and the victory will be an extra motivation.
Allan Okello, Sadam Juma, Mike Mutyaba, Herbert Acahai and Nunda Jackson scored one each in KCCA’s victory. Ivan Bogere brought one back for Shafic Bisaso’s Proline.
About the tournament, the KCCA FC shotstopper added:
“We are going to play the best powerful teams in the region, which is going to help us prepare for champions league which is not far, it’s also going to boost our match fitness and that feel of foreign competition.”
The Ugandan premier league defending champions KCCA FC are in group B where they are going to be rubbing shoulders with Azam FC (Tanzania), Mukura victory sport (Rwanda) and Bandari of Kenya.
