Senegal pummeled Kenya Harambee Stars 3-0 to finish second of group C and will now face Uganda Cranes at the round of 16 on Friday, June 5.

Sadio Mane, after seeing his first half penalty saved by Patrick Matasi, managed to grab a brace adding to Ismaila Sarr’s strike to send Senegal to six points.

Kenya who finished with ten men after Philemon Otieno was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Sarr, could still qualify as one of the best four third-placed teams, depending on the results in the final games in Group E and F.

In the other group C encounter, Napoli midfielder Adam Ounas scored twice and set-up Leicester striker Islam Slimani for the opener for Algeria to beat Tanzania 3-0 and top the log with maximum points.
