Egypt captain Ahmed Elmohamed has said that Uganda game will be difficult as the two sides prepare to face off on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium.

Egypt already sealed their place in the knockout but will need to avoid defeat to go as number one from group A.

Uganda on the other hand, will need a point to confirm their place in the knockout for the first time in 41 years.

“The Uganda clash will be very difficult and I know that after watching their games, but in the end, we wants to win,” Elmohamady said during a pre-match press conference.

“We are focusing on attacking and the defenders get forward in the set-pieces, which helped me score three goals in the last seven games with the national team.

“I will work harder in the upcoming period to score more goals.”

“I promise the fans to lift the AFCON title because the tournament is being played on home soil. Everyone is doing their best to win the title and the fans know that and will support us.”

Mahmoud ‘Trezguet’ Hassan scored the first goal of the tourney as Egypt beat Zimbabwe before Elmohamedy and Mo Salah scored one each to overcome DR Congo.
