KCCA FC youngster Steven Sserwada has broken silence about recent reports that he had joined Vipers SC.
It should be noted that Sserwadda, recently switched schools from Old Kampala to join St Mary’s Kitende. The move reignited rumours that the player had automatically joined Vipers, which is affiliated to St Mary’s Kitende.
The teenager, speaking after the club’s Gym training session held at fittness Gym (Forest mall) ahead of the Cecafa Kagame cup starting on the 7th of July, clarified.
“Kitende is a school and my club is KCCA FC. My heart is at KCCA FC, I don’t see the opportunities of the other club to take me away from KCCA because my Daddy, mummy and my siblings are all in KCCA so I can’t leave the club.”
Ahead of the CECAFA Kagame cup that starts on the 7th to the 21st of July, the teenager sounded optimistic:
“The guys are in good shape we are training so hard, looking forward for it and we hope to win the tournament.
“We are in a competitive group are competitive. The teams will give us a big opportunity to compete and expose our game of play. I will be very glad to be part of the team because I am training hard.”
The reigning UPL champions is pitted in Group B with defending champions Azam FC, Bandari FC and Mukura.
