The five men’s teams will face each other once to determine the overall top team while the women will play a round robin before facing off in semis depending on how they finish after the one leg.
The winners, men and women, earn a ticket to Afrocan and AfroBasket respectively. The FIBA AFROCAN will be held in Bamako, Mali from July 19-28, while the 2019 AfroBasket will be held in Senegal, August 9-18.

The Silverbacks will be playing under pressure to deliver but will seek to capitalise on the home advantage to win the needed silverware.
Coach George Galanopoulos will mainly rely on foreign based players Brandon Davies and Deng Geu to flourish. Robinson Opong and Point guard Jimmy Enabu will be great pillars for the home side.
