*Lesotho 0-0 Uganda
-Lesotho win 3-2 on penalties.
Coach Abdullah Mubiru, who is in charge of the Cranes team taking part in COSAFA, claimed that his side lacked maturity in penalties after a 3-2 shootout loss to Lesotho.
Guests Uganda Cranes, joining the tourney at the quarter finals, failed to impress as expected in a game they looked poor especially in the first half before a goalless draw in normal time.
“The game was competitive as we tried as much as we could to get some chances but missed them,” said Coach Mubiru as quoted by FUFA.

“We were also lucky not to concede. We lacked some maturity during the spot kicks. However, the future for the team is bright. We can build on our performance today and get the best from our players.
“We are waiting for our next opponent in the classification game and our focus is to have a win in the competition.”

Uganda will have Charles Lukwago to credit for a normal time clean sheet but the side will rue missed chances from Juma Balinya, Michael Birungi, Daniel Isiagi and Mzee Dan Sserunkuma among others.
Even with the introduction of Paul Mucureezi (Birungi) and Allan Kayiwa (Shafic Kagimu) in the latter stages, the side failed to get the back of the net.
Kizza Mustafa, John Revita and Paul Mucureezi failed on the spot, with Muzamir Mutyaba scoring his kick.

What next for Uganda is a classification match against the loser between South Africa and Botswana on 4th June 2019.
