Express FC: Released Players Now Total To 11

Express FC has released more three players before the new season starts.

Midfielder Badru Nsubuga, striker Mubarak Nsubuga and defender Arthur Kiggundu have been shown the exit door.

The statement on the club’s official website reads:

“The three players and their representatives have failed to consent with the contract extension offers provided to them by the club.

“The club has decided to let them to ply their trade elsewhere.

“Everyone from Express wishes them the very best in their careers and thank them for the spirited service to the club.”

Kiggundu joined Express from SC Villa while Badru cane from Wembley FC at the start of the 2018/19 season.

The trio joins Isaac Mutanga who it was said that his contract was not to be renewed. The club also released seven players recently – goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga, veteran Striker Tony Odur, Shafic Kakeeto, Ibrahim Kayiwa, Joel Male, Pius Mbidde and Charles Musoke – to total 11 players.

Express FC finished 10th in the league and was ousted out of the Uganda Cup by Bright Stars at Wankulukuku via penalty shootouts.
