Onyango Extends Support To Kenzo’s Big Talent Soccer Academy

Uganda Cranes Captain Denis Masinde Onyango has given sports equipment to Big talent football academy.

The shot stopper, regarded widely as the best in Africa, gave out Jerseys, Balls (in all sizes), training kits among others during an event held at Bayern Arena pitch located in Munyonyo.

The sports academy is owned by artiste Edirisa ‘Eddy Kenzo’ Musuuza. The support comes days after Big Talent academy won the 2019 Watoto Wasoka Slums Derby when they beat Soccer Stars 3-2 in penalties in Kanyanya.

“I am not giving because I have much,” started the Sundowns Keeper. “This is an act to show my thanks and recognise where I came from. These are the stars of tomorrow and if it wasn’t the support I got at an age like this back then, I would not be where I am today.”

“To the kids, I argue you to remain in school and stay discipline because talent alone cannot take you places.”

Speaking in reception, the BET Award winner commended Onyango’s soft giving heart and encouraged anyone with support, to come on board.

Kenzo said:

“This is good gesture from Onyango and am sure that this will do great in improving these youngsters. This academy is made up of especially ghetto kids who need support. It is not my academy, it is for Uganda and the door is very open for any good Samaritan.”

The event was also highlighted by a friendly ten minute game – each half between Captain’s 11 and Bengo’s 11s. Soccer stars like Khalid Aucho, Saddam Juma, Moses Waiswa, Ayub Kisaliita, Simeon Masaba (now coach) graced the event.
