Leading Commercial Microfinance Bank in Uganda, Centenary Bank, has announced a Sh90M sponsorship package for the Masaza Cup.
The package is an improvement from Sh70M which was offered for last year’s 14th edition.
The sponsorship was revealed during the launch of the 2019 tourney on Monday at Bulange.
The bank’s general manager corporate communication, and marketing Mrs. Beatrice Lugalambi expressed her delight:
“Our Bank is proud to be part of this year’s Masaza Cup tournament. We therefore make a commitment to sponsor this activity in a bid to improve sports in the country and w therefore contribute sh 90 Million towards the event.
“The tournament provides a platform for all people to come together and celebrate the talent of their kin, something we shall witness next month when the competition starts.”
Lugalambi commended the role of Masaza Cup in fostering partnerships and building relationships among the people of Buganda.
During the launch, All the 18 teams were given 2 sets of jerseys, Sh5M each and three balls.
It was revealed during the launch that Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi will grace the opening day on June 1, 2019 as Ssingo play host to Ssese.
